Inside the federal vehicle, the pregnant woman finally leaned back.
Ruiz studied her.
“You could’ve taken this down months ago,” he said. “Why wait?”
She looked out the window.
“Because I needed them to expose themselves.”
A pause.
Then Ruiz said it.
“The Whitlock case isn’t just fraud anymore. It’s assault, witness tampering… and attempted homicide.”
She didn’t react.
Because that name meant something deeper.
Whitlock Industries wasn’t just a wealthy family.
It was the center of a multi-state corruption pipeline.
And she had been inside it for two years.
Undercover.
Even pregnant.
Ruiz lowered his voice. “Your identity is compromised now.”
