CHAPTER 2 — The Name That Owns Everything

The assistant walked with calm precision, every step echoing across the marble floor.
No hesitation.
No fear.
Only authority.
He stopped at the center of the hall and bowed slightly toward the woman on the floor.
Then he spoke.
“The trust has been executed.”
The husband frowned.
“Who the hell let you in here?”
The assistant didn’t look at him.
He opened the folder.
“And effective immediately…”
A pause.
“The sole beneficiary of the Linwood estate, holdings, and trust assets is Madam Liana Grey.”
Silence.
The name hit the room like a blade.
The mistress stopped smiling first.
Then the husband’s expression cracked.
“That’s impossible…” he whispered.
But the assistant continued calmly.
“Mr. Whitmore. You no longer hold controlling rights to anything under the Linwood family portfolio.”
