Later that night, outside under the soft glow of streetlights, the girl in silver approached cautiously.
“Why did you help me?” she asked.
The girl in red didn’t answer right away.
Instead, she looked up at the sky.
“Because once… I was you.”
The words hung in the air.
“I stayed quiet. I let people walk all over me. I told myself it wasn’t worth the fight.”
She finally turned, her eyes steady but softer now.
“But silence protects the wrong people.”
